Laura (my girlfriend, not the regular corresondent here) is of the following opinion: Gangs of New York is a terrible film, goes on far too long and definitely has no plot. However she finds our ludicrous arguments silly and wants nothing to do with them. Therefore, officially, the above is my opinion. Even though I've never seen the film.

gangs of new york = boring, too long, terrible acting from leonardo dicaprio and I didn't think Daniel Day Lewis was good enough to be a counterweight
laura's opinion on the opinions = amazing and obviously right but I am in need of far too much dirtaction and love arguing too much to actually subscribe to it.

In spite of agreeing with the spirit of the above postings, I quite enjoyed it. Maybe because I sat right at the front of the cinema and enjoyed the colours, sounds and shapes writ large and up close. It was overlong nonsense, mind.
